Carlton Jordan's Hollywood Way!

In LA, the first question people ask is what do you do? Well this is my answer verbatim!

"What do I do? Well since you asked! In Jr. High school I worked as an Assistant Custodian @ Winterfield Elementary School during the summers. A Bus Boy @ Spaghetti Factory. A Cashier @ Bojangles. Mover at a moving company. Then in college I worked @ Dave's Custom Caps in Pentagon City Mall. Then a Candy Store that I can't remember the name of. Freshen's Yogurt as Assistant Manager. A Bank Teller at First Union. A Customer Service Rep at The Washington Post. Then a counselor for DC Parks and Recreation. Moved to LA and got a job in advertising at The Los Angeles Times. Interned in Programming and Development at MTV with Brian Graden as my boss. Worked as a Production Assitant on VH1's Driven. Then Making The Album with Justin Timberlake and Limp Bizkit, a Pussycat Dolls show that never saw the light of day, another pilot Plastic Surgery which never aired, got a staff job in tape library at MTV then fired. Then on to E! Entertainment as a Production Assistant for 101 SNL Greatest Moments, then in their Live Events Department. Hired as a logger for Queer Eye for the Straight Girl. That show was killed. Then on to a show about AIDS Ride Los Angeles, somewhere in between there I worked on the Eve show for UPN before the network merged with the WB. I also worked on Jessica Simpson's newlywed show at some point and The Osbournes but cant remember when (thank God!)

Then unemployment if that counts as a job. Tried to do a documentary on the porn industry entitled Behind The Life. That died. I was the Manager, then Director of the Hollywood Black Film Festival for three years. Then back to VH1 as a logger for some show with Jerry Hall. Then to logging again for a terrible show called Island Fever for MTV. Some assistant editing for a Dallas reunion show. Back to E! as a Field Producer in their News department for three years, then started my own blog blackarazzi.com where I eventually became a paparazzi. Got fired from E! because of my influencial paparaazi status. Directed my first music video with hip hop group NHI. Changed blackarazzi.com to carltonJordan.com.
